Scott Kerr - Event Staging Manager, SKYCITY Auckland Conventions Centre
Staging Connections NZ welcome Scott Kerr back to NZ from the Gold Coast. Scott is the ESM at Skycity. He brings with him a wealth of production knowledge, industry know-how, and a great can-do Scottish personality.
Andrew Brooks, Assistant Event Staging Manager, SKYCITY Auckland Conventions Centre
Joining Scott at SkyCity is Andrew Brooks, the team's new Assistant Event Staging Manager. Recently imported from Canada, Andrew brings with him over 13 years of experience in live events having worked as a senior audio technician in Toronto and 5 years of management for AV event services in hotels in Edmonton and Jasper in Alberta. During this time, Andrew had the pleasure on working on some of Canada's biggest events including the Toronto Jazz Festival, Nuit Blanche Toronto as well as music concerts for the likes of Alice Cooper, Jim Cuddy, Randy Bachman & Burton Cummings. As an award-winning customer service manager, Andrew is looking forward to partnering with your team to create and execute flawless events.
Julia Russel - Venue Services Executive, SKYCITY Auckland Conventions Centre
A familiar face to some of you, Julia has been with the Skycity team for over a year now and is known for helping clients to make great concepts happen within tight budgets. Julia feels the best thing about working at Staging Connections is the amount of knowledge and experience that gets shared around. The beautiful aspect of Staging Connections New Zealand team culture is the honest willingness to help. No matter how busy one is if asked for help that person will almost drop everything to assist or answer a question and share their knowledge that goes above and beyond ensuring understanding and knowledge sharing. That is across the board from technicians to senior management. Whilst Julia doesn't like to play favourites, she believes every event is unique and interesting in their own way and is looking forward to making yours a memorable one.
Nadine Ackermann, Venue Sales Executive, SKYCITY Auckland Conventions Centre
Nadine joined Staging Connections in 2016 in the capacity of Venue Sales Executive. With an extensive background in hospitality, Nadine brings a wealth of knowledge in culinary coordination and event planning. From South-Africa originally, she has been in New Zealand for just over a decade and absolutely loves the people of Auckland. She has also spent time running successful establishments in England.
Nadine spent most of her working life in top restaurants learning all about great customer service. Once she satisfied the aspirations she set for herself in hospitality management, she turned her faculties to service industry training and was quickly promoted to Employer Recruiter as she had an excellent placement success rate.
She loves a challenge and gains personal enjoyment from assisting people achieve their objectives. Nadine is a natural networker and loves getting people together. She has a degree from the University of Auckland, various hospitality diplomas she gained as a trainer, and she brings with her great communication, project planning, leadership and problem solving skills.
Nadine is very excited to be back in the events industry and looks forward to working with you.
Lisa Lloyd - Venue Sales Executive, SKYCITY Auckland Conventions Centre
Lisa has been working in events since 2010 and believes it was one of the best decisions she's ever made. Every day is different and presents it's own set of challenges but it's the sense of achievement when these challenges are overcome and the enjoyment you see on guests faces which is what she loves most. Whilst Lisa's formal qualifications are Audio based, having graduated from the the SAE Institute in Auckland with a Diploma in Audio Engineering and a Bachelor of Recording Arts, she also spent many years working in customer service and hospitality. This is where she was exposed to the exiting world of events and was able to work on large events such as ANZ Netball, FIFA, Rugby World Cup 2011, Auckland Arts Festival, and Diwali Lights Festival. Lisa believes good communication with everyone involved is the key to a successful event, so expect a clear and open dialogue when you work with her.
