Interactive Case Study

Everest Awards

Staging Connections was approached by the CEO of leading Australian IT Services company, Interactive, to provide an effective
way to communicate and engage with staff at several locations around Australia. A technical solution was devised to incorporate video conferencing of three sites whilst webcasting from the host site. The CEO was then able to attend all presentations via video, whilst engaging with staff. Staging Connections provided a full event solution including recommendations on how best to convey the key messages to the audience.

The day prior, set up took place to eliminate any technical hurdles. Operator communications were connected via a hybrid interface allowing one show caller to cue all the sites. This unique technical composition ensured seamless delivery.
The three presentation sites used concurrent video conference links via Polycom HDX equipment to transmit audio and visual signals. With 100 attendees per site, video of each location played live on screen throughout the presentations allowing staff to interact across geographic boundaries. Webcasting the presentation at the main site engaged employees in non-event locations. Staging Connections designed a visually appealing and bespoke webcast interface for online viewers.

Videoconferencing and webcasting technologies were combined to allow the CEO to interact with his entire team without huge travel budgets. Seamless service was provided and the tough IT critics were thrilled with the outcome. The success of the event has led to the Interactive team continuing to use a similar digital format.
